Why We Are Going Global

For eight years, Oklahoma Women on Fire has proudly produced a calendar celebrating the strength, grit, and professionalism of female firefighters across Northeast Oklahoma. What began as a local fundraiser quickly became a platform to highlight women breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated profession.

As our mission and reach have grown, so has our vision. Women in the fire service are doing extraordinary work across the world—leading crews, responding to disasters, training the next generation, and serving their communities with courage and skill.

Fierce on the Frontline – International Edition represents a new chapter. This action-based calendar will showcase authentic, powerful images of female firefighters in real moments of service, leadership, training, and station life from around the globe. Our goal is to honor the realities of the job, elevate representation, and inspire the next generation by showing what women in the fire service are truly capable of—on every continent, in every uniform, and on every frontline.

Photo Submission Requirements

• Must be an active or retired career or volunteer female firefighter (If retired, you must have retired within a year of your submission).
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Open to participants worldwide
• Only one photo submission per person
• Photo must be of the applicant herself, no nominations allowed
• Photo must represent authentic fire service imagery (action, training, station life, leadership, response, etc.) Photo must have been taken within two years of submission.
• Image must be high resolution (minimum 300 DPI) *IMPORTANT* PHOTOS MUST BE IN LANDSCAPE AND NOT PORTRAIT MODE. 
• If taken by a professional photographer, a signed photo release granting usage rights is required
• Applicant must provide a 150-character or less statement explaining why the photo was chosen and what it represents to them.
• Submission must be made within the official window:
  • Opens: February 1, 2026
  • Closes: May 1, 2026
• By submitting, participant agrees to calendar, marketing, and promotional use of the image by Oklahoma Women on Fire
